Job Summary and Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process / outcomes for the Stem Cell Transplant and hematologic disorders patients.

What qualifications you will need:

  • · Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing 
  • · If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position. 
  • · Experienced Oncology RN with Level 2 Competencies or prior Critical Care experience preferred. 
  • · Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license 
  • · Experienced as an Oncology Certified Nurse or Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse is preferred 
  • · Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provide American Heart Association required 
  • · Effective 10/01/23, American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within six months of hire or transfer 
  • · Effective 10/01/23, ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course required within 60 days of hire or transfe
