The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.  These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics.  The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age

About the Opportunity

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced CAT Scan Technologist for a night-shift travel assignment at a respected medical facility in Visalia, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a CT professional seeking strong compensation, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work with advanced imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CAT Scan procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Utilize and troubleshoot Toshiba 64-Slice CT equipment (preferred)
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered diagnostic imaging
• Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and hospital compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CAT Scan experience
• CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
• ARRT (R)(CT)
• BLS (AHA)
• Fluoroscopy License
• Diagnostic X-Ray and CT Tech experience

Preferred Qualifications

• IV Certification
• Experience with Toshiba 64-Slice CT systems

Schedule

• Night Shift
• 3×12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Compensation

Total Weekly Pay: $3,283
Includes:

• $1,806 taxable pay
• $1,477 weekly stipends
