Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse Case Manager – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: July 2026

Location: Acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), with at least 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Case load of up to 20-22 patients.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility in the Santa Monica area
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including social services for comprehensive patient care coordination
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute hospital environment
• Business casual or solid dark scrubs with lab coat dress code
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start; pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital inpatient Case Manager experience
• Current acute hospital experience required; must have worked in role within the last 6 months
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• Knowledge of InterQual criteria (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Experience with HMOs, IPAs, care coordination, discharge planning, and admission reviews
• Skills in benefits eligibility, prior authorizations, DME ordering, and needs assessment
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period
• Ability to float between facilities within the state as needed
