Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care Unit – Albuquerque, NM 87102
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. 4:1 patient ratio.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel nursing assignment in a progressive Intermediate Care Unit
- Specialized experience with stroke and neuro patients, along with standard medical IMC diagnoses including GIB, pneumonia, sepsis, and respiratory diseases
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic charting system in a 12-bed unit with daily census of 12 patients
- Opportunity to work with complex patient populations including adults and geriatrics
- 24-hour orientation provided with ongoing professional development support
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico RN license or Compact license (must be obtained prior to start date)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
- Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, blood product administration, and wound care
- Willingness to float to all PCU units, medical-surgical, and ICU for PCU assignments as needed
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
