Job Opportunity – Ultrasound Technologist – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care facility

Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with rotating weekend call and standby rotation. 13-week assignment (91 days).

Highlights:

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location
• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB (first trimester), NICU, and pediatric exams
• Participate in interventional procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and kidney/liver biopsies
• Utilize Epic charting system and Phillips ultrasound equipment
• Serve both inpatient and outpatient populations across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Average daily census of 11 patients in a 2-room department

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• ARDMS/RDMS certification required (AB, OB, or BR specialty)
• Competency in M-Mode baby head ultrasound (hard stop requirement)
• Proficiency with first trimester OB, NICU, and general diagnostic studies
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Valid state license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection preferred
• Ability to work rotating weekend call (Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and standby rotation
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
