Job Opportunity – Ultrasound Technologist – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care setting

Schedule: Mid shift, 5x8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), Monday through Friday with rotating weekend call coverage. Standby rotation includes Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM. 13-week assignment (91 days).

Highlights:

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location
• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB (first trimester competent), NICU baby head scans, and interventional procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and biopsies
• Utilize Epic charting system and Phillips ultrasound equipment in a 2-room department with an average daily census of 11 patients
• Serve diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Orientation provided with 16 hours of on-site training
• Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection preferred

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
• Active BLS certification required
• ARDMS/RDMS certification required (AB, OB, or BR specialty)
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Community hospital experience required
• Competency in first trimester OB and NICU baby head scans required (M-Mode Baby hard stop)
• Phillips ultrasound equipment experience required
• Valid California state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Willingness to participate in standby rotation and work rotating weekends
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
