Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – Fort Defiance, AZ 86504

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one-hour lunch (8-hour shifts). 36 guaranteed hours per week. Attendance at staff meetings is required when scheduled.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment with two positions available
• Focus on case management and discharge planning for age-appropriate inpatients with chronic diseases and special healthcare needs
• Work across multiple units including Multi-Service Unit, Intensive Care Unit, OB Units, and Adolescent Care Unit
• Coordinate discharge planning care processes and maintain tracking systems for patient admissions and transfers
• Perform chart reviews for requested services related to facility returns or home discharges
• New Employee Orientation scheduled every other Monday; clearance required 7 days prior to start date

Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. State or Territory
• Two (2) years or more experience in discharge planning and medical-surgical nursing
• RN experience in a clinical, medical/surgical, acute care, and/or critical care setting
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with commitment to maintain certification
