Description

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day or night shifts (72 hours every two weeks)

Job Description

Work in a 9-bed Adult ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, or 1:1 when indicated.
May care for stable pediatric patients occasionally; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to higher-level care.
Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 1:3 or 1:4.
Minimum of three nurses per shift.
May float to other departments to assist without taking a patient team.
Charge nurse duties may be assigned with additional compensation.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Experience working with pediatric patients

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is required.
