Registered Nurse – Inpatient Acute Dialysis
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in an Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, administering medications and treatments, developing individualized patient care plans, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
- On-call schedule averaging 3-4 days per month, including one weekend per month
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to care for patients in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws
- Document care according to standards
- Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
