Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location
- Carthage, Tennessee
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit and Patient Population
- Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum Units
- 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds
- Patient population: Maternity women and newborns
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Every other weekend rotation (as needed)
- Call requirement: 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule
- Float to other units as needed
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Required Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
Requirements/Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in Nursery and Postpartum care
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
Additional Requirements
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
- Positive attitude, cooperative, and shows initiative
Orientation
- Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays
Facility Notes
- Critical access hospital with 25 beds
- Located near water recreation areas and about an hour from Nashville
Dress Code
- Scrubs of any color allowed
- Casual or other facility apparel not acceptable
