Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Telemetry experience with 2 years of experience
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- NIH Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Role Expectations
- Telemetry rhythm capability
- Strong critical thinking and time management
- Ability to assess med-surg level patients and escalate changes in acuity appropriately
- Good communication
- Punctuality for scheduled shifts
Unit Details
- Adult med-surg unit
- 34 beds
- Typical patient ratio on day shift: 1:4-6
- Floating may include other med-surg units and occasionally the holding pod in the emergency department
Common Procedures
- IV fluids
- Tube feeds
- PEG feedings
- IV antibiotics
Team Fit
- Team-oriented
- Willing to assist CNAs and other nurses
Schedule Notes
- Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
- Must attend shift huddles
- Must clock out and back in for meal breaks
- Must clock in no earlier than the designated shift start window
