Schedule

36 hours per week
3 shifts per week
Rotating weekends and holidays

Unit Overview

Women’s Services unit
9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite
No techs or unit secretaries
Regular staff may float within the facility as needed
Some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN
NRP
Fetal monitoring education
Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred Experience

Experience with shoulder dystocia
Experience with postpartum hemorrhage
Experience with fetal monitoring
Experience with inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil

Procedures Performed on the Unit

C-sections
Circumcisions
Intra-uterine monitoring
Vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries

Additional Details

Pink and/or brown scrubs are required
The unit has experienced RNs who can serve as resources and preceptors
The team is described as supportive and willing to help
The unit offers experience across labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
