LTC LVN/LPN Travel Contract

Overview

Location: Seward, Alaska
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Long-term care
Patient ratio: 1:20
First-time travelers: Not accepted
Locals: Not accepted; candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Schedule

Shift options: 4x12 variable or 3x12 variable
Shift timing: Days or nights, based on facility needs at start
On-call: No
Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
Block scheduling: Not accommodated

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Alaska
Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
Long Term Care experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
Experience in a Long Term Care setting
Driver's License

Required Certifications

BLS

Compliance / Onboarding

Alaska Food Worker Certification is completed onsite during orientation
Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
No more than 2 weeks of requested time off will be considered for a 26-week contract
Pending license not accepted

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Charting system: ECS
Parking is free
A vehicle is arranged for traveler use during the assignment
Tire chains are available at additional cost
