CT Scan Technologist
Overview
- Specialty: CT scan technologist
- Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
- Employment type: Clinical-allied
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours: 40 per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program and a high school diploma or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of PACS system
Preferred Experience
- 6 months of CT experience
Role Summary
- Performs CT procedures and produces sectional and 3D images for interpretation
- Assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures
- Reviews patient history and prepares patients for scanning
- Administers contrast media as prescribed
- Monitors patients during procedures and provides patient instructions
- Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
- Works scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments as needed
Additional Notes
- The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs, and standing at least 6 hours per day
