Labor & Delivery RN

Overview

Travel nursing assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NRP
AWHONN or CEFM
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Care of the laboring patient
Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
Circulate and recover cesarean section patients

Unit Details

Labor & Delivery unit
12 beds
Patient ratio: 1:2
Travelers float first

Schedule

3 twelve-hour shifts
3 weekend shifts
1 call shift for RNs

Clinical Experience

Care of the laboring patient
Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
Circulate and recover C-section patients

Procedures on the Unit

Vaginal deliveries
C-sections
D&C
Cerclage
Epidural anesthesia
Tub labor

Additional Notes

Scrubs are not provided; required colors are ceil blue, navy blue, or gray
