Licensed Practical Nurse
Location: Hot Springs, South Dakota
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour varied schedule; days, evenings, nights
Hours per Week: 36
Overview
Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Dakota
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Acute Care experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under RN supervision
- Administer medications and treatments
- Participate in care plan development and updates
- Report patient condition changes and incidents to the RN
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and at discharge
- Assist with orientation and continued learning of new staff and students
