Required Qualifications

• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience
• ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body
• Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware
• Thorough knowledge of PACS system
• Maintains CEU credits

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license
• 6 months CT experience
• Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital

Role Summary

• Performs CT procedures and related techniques to produce sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation
• Assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures
• Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and IV maintenance procedures
• Administers or identifies contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Reviews patient history, prescription, and contrast questionnaire; documents information in PACS and EPIC
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures
• Provides patient explanations and instructions and addresses questions and concerns
• Handles insurance authorization verification and outside study coordination
• May work overtime and on-call assignments as needed per department policy
