Description

Early Childhood Special Education Teacher invited to join us for the 2026-27 school year in the vicinity of Cedar Hill, TX, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. To qualify for roles in teaching, we’re looking for previous experience in a special education setting, whether it’s resource or self-contained classrooms, 1:1 scenarios or situations where you’re with children with externalizing behaviors. We’re also looking for experience working with IEPs (individualized education plans), lesson planning, working collaboratively with faculty and parents and a strong desire to connect with your students. Key Details: *You'll provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physcial and social growth *You'll develop and modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materias to match student ability levels *Collaboration with faculty members and your students' parents or guardians will be a key factor in realizing best outcomes *Consistent meeting attendance and reporting in a timely matter is required *Effective communication and organizational skills, both written and orally, are also required *Position is full-time, 38.5 hours per week plus 30 minute duty free lunch daily Qualifications: *Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university *Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment *Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned areas *Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation *Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs Effective communication skills *Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience Weekly Compensation is based on experience and will range from from $1,312 to $1,443
