Description
- Provide specialized educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and track student progress toward academic and communication goals.
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to adapt curriculum and provide accommodations.
- Support the use and management of assistive listening devices and educational technology (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants).
- Promote development of language, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
- Participate in ARD/IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.
- Maintain strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Adhere to KIPP’s mission of educational equity and student success.
