Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (PEDS ER RN) – Travel Contract
Position: Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (PEDS ER RN)
Job Type: Travel Assignment
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (PEDS ER RN) to join a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric emergency nursing experience, the ability to manage high-acuity patients, and experience working in busy emergency departments and trauma settings.
Minimum Requirements
Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact license if applicable)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Room (PEDS ER) experience within the last 3 years
Recent experience in an acute care hospital of comparable size, patient volume, and acuity level
Travelers must have prior experience in hospitals of equal or greater size, Level I/II trauma centers, or high-volume pediatric emergency departments
Experience caring for pediatric patients with medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies
Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
PALS certification strongly required
Experience in pediatric trauma and critical care settings
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and provide nursing care to pediatric emergency patients
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
Provide patient and family education while maintaining exceptional standards of care

Healthcare Sages Job ID #107. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
