Description

Description:

The Adult Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients, including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and treatments for heart failure such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The OR staff employs a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella).
Experience with Transplant and TAVI/TAVR is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

Valid RN License (NY License ONLY)
Minimum of two years of experience
Experience in operating room settings, particularly in a level 1 trauma center, is preferred
Capability to circulate

Certifications:

BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)

Desired Skills:
