Job Duties:

The role involves working in the operating room, which cares for a variety of patients. Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma at a level 1 trauma center. Utilizes two Davinci robots for multi-specialty surgeries. Participates in a transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Job Requirements:

• Two years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate during procedures
• Proficiency with telemetry

Certification(s):

• BLS (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS (preferred)

Preferred Surgical Experience:

• Specialty cases such as transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgeries
• Experience with craniotomy
• Strong orthopedic background

Skills and Expertise:

• Valid RN License (NY state license only)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• Two years of experience in an operating room setting
• Experience in a level 1 trauma hospital is highly desired
• Ability to scrub and circulate is required
• Proficiency in telemetry is required
