Qualifications:
Education Required: - High School graduate. - Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school for radiologic technology with advanced training in CT, MRI, and Interventional Radiography.
License/Certifications Required: 1. Licensed in NYS as a radiologic technologist. 2. Advanced certification as a CT technologist. 3. Current ARRT certification. 4. Certified by NYS for contrast injections as required by the normal functions of the position.
Experience/Skills Required: - Two years of experience. - Ability to interpret physician's scanning instructions accurately. - Capability to prepare and operate CT scan equipment. - Proficiency in positioning patients to capture appropriate images.
Computed Tomography Technologists: - Utilize CT scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. - Must be in good health to handle the physical challenges of maneuvering equipment and assisting disabled patients. - Adhere to proper safety procedures to mitigate the risks associated with radiation exposure.
