Description
Unit Notes: - COVID vaccine and booster required, no exemptions accepted. - No "local travelers" allowed.
Facility Information: - 61-bed facility, not a trauma facility. - Labor and Delivery Unit: 7 total rooms plus a nursery. - Licensed for 11 bassinets and 9 maternity beds, with overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit if needed. - We are a Level One Nursery; higher-risk births are transferred to a tertiary center.
Position Details: - The nurse is required to care for both antepartum and postpartum patients. - The nurse is not required to scrub or circulate on C-sections, only to scrub to receive the neonate from the sterile field. - Nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines.
Logistics: - Charting System: Cerner - BSN is not required - Required Certifications: Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Additional Notes: - Cancellation Policy: 1 shift per pay period and 4 per 13 weeks.
