Description
Job Summary
- Perform a variety of Computed Tomography procedures and duties under the direction of a qualified physician and technical specialist.
- Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation.
- Adhere to federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures for a variety of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
- Able to insert and remove IVs.
Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
- Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations (if applicable)
- Licensed by the State of Mass Radiation Control Board.
- ARRT Registered: RT (R) or RT (N).
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred.
- If no CT License at time of hire, the technologist has one year to obtain a CT License.
- CPR certified.
