Position Overview
This role requires an experienced RN with expertise in circulating for surgeries, specifically in ortho, spine, and neuro procedures. The candidate should be capable of performing these functions independently and possess 4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience. While scrub experience is highly preferred, it is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate for surgeries including ortho, spine, and neuro.
- Preference for RNs who also have scrub experience in neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedics, and who are comfortable with DaVinci robotic cases.
- Participate in on-call rotations, with a minimum of one weekend per month.
- Be prepared for mandatory overtime as needed to ensure unit coverage.
- Flexibility to float or be reassigned to different departments or facilities within 30 miles, as necessitated by clinical competence and unit needs.
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and ACLS
- Ability to manage time off requests, which must be kept minimal and approved prior to confirmation.
- Acceptance of Covid medical or religious exemptions.
- 30-minute report time required for on-call duties.
- Scrubs provided.
Operational Details
- Scrub experience in complex neuro, spine, and ortho surgeries is especially valued.
- Personnel may be included in the rotation pool of staff for additional hours as needed.
- Familiarity with working in a collaborative healthcare environment and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and departmental needs.
