Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Community Regional Medical Center measures up with top hospitals nationally and is the 3rd largest in California! With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN, the Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) provides specialized restorative care designed to help residents improve, maintain, or regain their physical, mental, and psychosocial functional abilities. Working closely with clinical staff and following individualized resident care plans, the RNA supports residents in achieving their highest level of independence and quality of life. This role focuses on sustaining progress after rehabilitation therapy and maximizing functional abilities. The RNA also performs general Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) duties as needed. Accountabilities 1. Provides routine restorative care and services based on individualized restorative plans of care designed to maintain residents’ physical abilities, prevent decline, and promote independence.2. Supports residents with formal therapy tasks, walking programs, wheelchair mobility, and safety transfers, utilizing proper techniques and equipment to ensure safety and comfort.3. Applies restorative devices/equipment (e.g., splints, positioning devices).4. Assists residents with active and passive range-of-motion exercises and other strength-maintenance activities as outlined in the care plan.5. Assists residents with grooming, dressing, feeding, and other activities of daily living (ADLs) while encouraging resident independence.6. Observes and documents changes in residents’ physical and mental abilities, reporting any decline or progress to the nursing or therapy team for reassessment.7. Maintains consistent resident care schedule and be efficient in use of time.8. Educates and supports residents in the proper use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices to enhance mobility and safety.9. Works closely with nurses, therapists, and other staff to ensure continuity of care and timely updates to the restorative care plan.10. Provides fall prevention support by implementing safety measures to reduce fall risks, such as ambulation assistance, proper footwear checks, and maintaining clutter-free environments.11. Engages residents in social and cognitive activities through structured activities, simple tasks, or exercises that stimulate the mind and fosters connection.12. Documents restorative interventions, activities, progress, and resident responses.13. Performs general Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities and maintains a clean and safe environment for residents.14. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program required• Completion of a restorative nursing training program within 90 days of hire required Experience• 1 year of experience as a CNA in long-term care required• Restorative nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting preferred Licenses and Certifications• CNA - State of California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required Disclaimers:
