The Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) Technologist 1 specializes in using MR equipment to produce cross-sectional images to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Provides patient instruction of procedure method. Enforces MRI safety rules for all persons in MRI Safety Zones, functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Perform and understand routine quality control procedures and participate in performance improvement activities.
Qualifications:MINIMUM REQUIRED:
Education:
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent MRI Technology program required
Experience:
1 year of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Technologist preferred
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferred:
ARRT(MR) - ARRT Magnetic Resonance preferred
ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists preferred
CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist preferred
CTNM - State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine preferred

Charge nurses try to keep ratios even. Lots of travelers that are friendly and helpful
Cons
Having to float downtown. When I was there the management kept changing. Moving antepartum back and forth to 2nd floor when 1st floor antepartum rooms needed to be used.
