Local Candidate Policy: Local candidates are accepted at a rate $10/hour lower than the listed travel rate.

Job Description

An experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation.

The role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission.
Obtain medical histories, vital signs, laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic information.
Develop and implement patient care plans under physician direction.
Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice.
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established protocols.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in EPIC.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
Follow infection control, hospital, and nursing policies.
Provide compassionate care while respecting patients' cultures, lifestyles, beliefs, and ages.
Requirements
Current, valid New Hampshire RN license required or must be eligible to obtain one.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
Minimum 3 years of experience listed in the job details.
Clinical experience preferred.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
PALS certification required.
CPI certification required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
EPIC experience is listed for the facility.
Candidate Eligibility
Active New Hampshire RN license required or eligibility to obtain one.
Minimum 3 years of experience required based on the facility job details.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required.
Must be available for holiday coverage.
Local candidates are accepted at a $10/hour lower local rate.
Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
St. Joseph Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
