Location: Utica, NY

Job Details
Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Weekly Pay: Competitive Pay
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Varies (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Unit

MVHS – Emergency Department

Unit Highlights
64-bed Emergency Department
Treats patients of all ages: Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
Common patient diagnoses include:
Stroke
Sepsis
Trauma
Myocardial Infarction (MI)
Cardiac Arrest
Respiratory Failure
Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
Floating is required
Charge nurse experience is highly preferred
EMR: Epic
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Requirements
Active New York RN License
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
Previous travel nursing experience is required
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC must be in hand at the time of submission)
Experience with Epic EMR required
Candidate Eligibility
Both local and travel candidates are welcome
Local candidates (within 75 miles) are accepted at the local pay rate
Must provide an updated resume documenting ED experience, PEDS experience, and previous travel assignments
Skills checklist, NURSYS license verification, driver's license, and any requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission
