Assignment Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry for a travel assignment in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong Med/Tele skillset and be adaptable to various patient types and units as part of a resource team. Experience in ortho and cardiac care is beneficial for this role.

- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
- Local candidate policy: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6 (critical surge 1:7-8)
- Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
- Orientation: NEO and 2 days departmental
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- Holiday Expectations: Required to work 75% of holidays
Responsibilities
- Care for patients across various units within scope at Mercy
- Float to units as needed within region
- Provide comprehensive care including cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, and medication management
- Support surgical and medical overflow patients
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
- Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and medication gtt management skills
- Proficiency in PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, and drain/tube management
Preferred:
- Ortho experience and skills in spinal precautions
