Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will effectively implement and monitor patient care plans, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment in a high-acuity, high-volume environment.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 Days
• Facility: 500+ bed hospital with Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn units
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2241 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a care plan based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and available support groups
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS Provider from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Preferred:

• Advanced Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
