Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies on the General Floors. The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing patient care plans, administering treatments, and providing patient and family education.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: 500+ bed Hospital
• Unit: Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn; Adult medical, trauma/neuro, burn, cardiovascular critical care units; Emergency Department
• Shift Details: 3x12 Nights
• Estimated Gross Weekly Pay Package: $2241 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment
• Develop and implement patient care plan
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practices and treatment outcomes
• Educate patient and family on health conditions and community support
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS Provider - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Preferred:

• Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
