Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatrics / PICU
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Job Type: Travel Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Compensation for 48hours
• Weekly Gross Pay: $3,316 week($69 hourly)
• Taxable Pay : $1,776/week ($37/hour)
• Housing & Meal Stipend: $1,540/week

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment supporting pediatric and critical care patients at a leading children's healthcare facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This opportunity is ideal for respiratory therapists with recent children's hospital experience and strong clinical skills in neonatal or pediatric critical care. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients.
• Manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment.
• Perform airway management, suctioning, nebulizer treatments, and tracheostomy care.
• Administer prescribed respiratory medications and monitor patient responses.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and support pediatric critical care teams.
• Float between NICU, PICU, and pediatric acute care units as required.

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Recent children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; candidates with strong Level I adult trauma facility experience may also be considered.
• Active Indiana Respiratory Therapist license required before starting. Temporary licensing may be accepted if the required applications have been submitted.
• NBRC RRT certification.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required as applicable to the assigned unit.
• PALS preferred.
• Respiratory therapy education from an appropriately accredited program.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and float between assigned units.

Important Assignment Details
• Travelers must work 2 out of 3 paired holiday periods:
 November 27–28
 December 24–25
 December 31–January 1

• Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only.
• COVID-19 vaccination not required.
• Travel experience is not mandatory.
