Travel Interim Director of Nursing - Holton, KS

Job Description
Lead acute in-patient and emergency services as an executive clinical director within a supportive 14-bed Critical Access Hospital. This leadership assignment empowers experienced nurse managers to direct charge nurses, optimize department workflows, and elevate clinical standards across a predictable weekday schedule. Partner with a dedicated agency team while guiding rural healthcare operations with autonomy and confidence.

Requirements

5 years of recent nursing management experience and Emergency Room (ER) clinical background

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Active Kansas RN License or Compact/Multi-State RN License at time of submission

Active AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications at time of submission

No floating required outside department leadership scope

Day 1 essential clinical competencies: Executive direction of Charge Nurses and Nurse Managers across Acute In-Patient and ED departments, flu vaccination compliance (or approved declination), and adherence to facility dress and adornment policies

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Critical Access Hospital (CAH) nursing leadership experience

Technical experience with Athena Health EMR

Proven travel contract background in nursing leadership or interim management roles

Level 1 Job ID #19450. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
