Description

Interim Director of Nursing (DON) – 13 Weeks

Position: Interim Director of Nursing (DON)
Location: Kansas
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour days/week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Department: Acute Inpatient & Emergency
Weekend: No weekends required; available as a resource for calls
Holiday: No holiday rotation
Call/Callback: None
Float: None

Requirements

BSN required
AHA BLS & ACLS required at submission
Kansas RN license or Multistate license required at submission
5+ years of nursing management experience
Emergency Room experience required
Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience preferred
Athena Health experience preferred, but not required
Ability to lead Charge Nurses and Nurse Managers across Acute Nursing and ED areas

14-bed Critical Access Hospital
Acute inpatient ADC: 5–6 patients
Emergency Department ADC: 12 patients
Typical staffing: 4 RNs + 1 Charge Nurse + CNA
