Description
• Assignment Length: 16–26 weeks
• Shift Options: Four 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m., or three 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.; specific schedule will be listed in the posting
• Weekday Call: One to two 12-hour overnight call shifts from 7:00 p.m.–7:15 a.m.; typically one per week unless short-staffed
• Weekend Call: One full weekend approximately every five weeks
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience with strong cardiovascular and open-heart surgical competency
• Required Skills: Circulating cardiovascular and open-heart procedures; general operating room experience required
• Scrubbing: Not required; this is a circulate-only position
• Facility Experience: Experience in a large, 500+ bed academic teaching hospital required
• Required Certification: BLS
• Preferred Certification: CNOR
• Documentation System: EPIC experience within the past two years is required and nonnegotiable
• Floating: May float to general, orthopedic, neurological, ENT, and other operating room service lines; circulating only when floated
