Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN for a 13-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $3,020/week*
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 48 hours/week
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6–7
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Floating: Required
Orientation: 24 hours
Travel Experience: Not required
RTO: Up to 2 requests
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience – HARD STOP
BLS required
Strong Med/Surg experience
Heparin management
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Peripheral IV care
Wound/Wound Vac care
Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
Comfortable with high-flow oxygen
Charge RN experience preferred, especially for night shift
Epic experience preferred
CPI preferred
MS/Tele or telemetry experience preferred
About the Unit
This is a 43-bed adult and geriatric Medical Surgical unit caring for general Med/Surg patients.
Nurses should be comfortable managing:
Heparin drips
Wound vac dressing changes
High-flow oxygen
Short-term BiPAP with respiratory support
IV therapy
General medical-surgical conditions
This is not a PCU-level unit, making it appropriate for experienced Med/Surg nurses who are comfortable with a 1:6–7 ratio.
Important Expectations
The unit strongly emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attendance. Travelers are expected to attend scheduled unit team meetings and follow facility call-off policies.
