Local Travel Interim ER RN Manager – Near Eureka, California
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,450/Week Based on Experience

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and healthcare staffing firm, is partnering with a respected acute care hospital near Eureka, CA to hire an experienced Interim ER RN Manager for a 13-week local travel contract. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a strong Emergency Department nursing leader who thrives in fast-paced acute care environments and is ready to provide hands-on operational oversight.
This opportunity offers weekly compensation up to $3,450 based on experience, along with the chance to lead a dynamic Emergency Department team while enjoying California’s beautiful North Coast.
Position Overview – Interim Emergency Room RN Manager
The Interim ER RN Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department (ED). This role ensures clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, patient throughput optimization, and overall departmental performance during the interim assignment.
This leader must bring strong Emergency Services expertise combined with proven healthcare leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities – Emergency Department Leadership
  • Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department
  • Provide hands-on leadership and direct support to ER nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with California state regulations and hospital policies
  • Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and productivity metrics
  • Improve patient throughput and flow initiatives
  • Monitor and support quality improvement programs
  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards and California Title 22 regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and executive leadership
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of ER/ED RN experience in an acute care hospital
  • Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, Manager, or Director level preferred)
  • Strong experience with ED operations, staffing, scheduling, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with Joint Commission standards and California Title 22 regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing Emergency Department teams in fast-paced settings
Education & Certification Requirements (California Required)
  • Active California RN License (in good standing)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC preferred
  • CEN preferred
