Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surgical unit at a leading healthcare facility in Wheeling, WV. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team while enhancing your nursing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care in a 52-bed Med-Surg unit with all private rooms.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7, primarily 1:7 for both day and night shifts.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurse and Clinical Assistant to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize EMR Sunrise for documentation and patient management.
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotation schedules as required.
• Work alongside an in-house IV team and pharmacy for patient support.

Requirements:

• Current RN license and unexpired driver's license.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification is also required.
• ACLS certification is a plus.
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis is highly preferred.
• Ability to float to other Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Oncology units as needed.

This position involves 12-hour shifts from 0645-1915 and 1845-0715. Staff can submit up to 6 requests off per 6-week schedule. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including post-operative orthopedic and neurological patients, as well as those with various medical diagnoses.
