Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department in Utica, NY. Job Description:

As an Emergency Department RN, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your expertise will be essential in managing critical situations and providing support to patients and their families.

Unit Specifics:

• Common patient diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Patient demographics: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
• Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych

Required Drips & Medications:

• Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine & Dopamine
• Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
• Anti-arrhythmic: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido
• Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, and Insulin

Submission Requirements:

• Must live 75 miles away from the facility (local candidates will be considered)
• Up-to-date resume including 2+ years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience
• Documented travel experience is required
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications are required
• NURSYS report and active NY license verification
• RTO must be included at the time of submission
• EMR experience required: EPIC
