This is a float pool position at a leading acute-care hospital. Candidates must be willing to float to multiple different units and have acute care hospital experience. The role requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various departments.
Position Information:
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Med/Surg Tele - IMC
- Float Requirements: Float Pool position, will float every shift
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
- Weekend Hours: 36 (varies based on unit need)
- Call Requirements: No
- Years of Experience: 2 years inpatient hospital experience preferred, Level 1 Trauma experience required, 1 year travel experience required
Education & Certifications Required:
- Valid RN License (State of Maine)
- ACLS Preferred
- BLS Required
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to (smallest unit has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds)
- Patient Ratios: Typically, 1:4 on days (1:5 when stretched) and 1:5 on nights (1:6 when stretched)
- Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
- EMR: EPIC
Hiring Profile:
- Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 Trauma acute hospital experience; must be able to read & interpret telemetry strips
- Preferred Skillset/Experience: Minimum 1 year travel assignments; prefer 2 years experience
- Type of Patients on Unit: Varies based on unit floated to
- Personality Fit: Flexibility is a must
Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Any color, as long as it is clean and professional in appearance
- Unacceptable Attire: Jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, shoes with holes in them (such as Crocs)
Minimum 1 year travel or prior Float Pool experience will set the traveler up for success and must have Level 1 Trauma experience in a 500 bed facility or larger.
