Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Cleveland, OH. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Step Down unit. You will be part of a team that is committed to providing exceptional care to patients transitioning from intensive care.

As a Step Down RN, you will have the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED) to care for the same patient population. The facility will do its best to honor travelers' preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate them if necessary to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.

Requirements:

• Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Must hold a valid Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required.
