  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: January 19, 2026
  • End Date: April 20, 2026
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Large cardiac population; float to Medical/Telemetry and Rehab units as needed
  • Electronic Medical Record: Meditech

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or Telemetry nursing experience (2 years preferred)
  • Strong Telemetry and clinical skills
  • Ability to float to other inpatient units (Medical/Telemetry, Rehab, Oncology)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Chemo certification is a plus for Oncology unit float

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care to cardiac and medically diverse patients in the PCU
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Float to Medical/Telemetry and Rehab units as needed
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and clinical guidelines
  • Demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and a team-oriented approach
