Key Job Details – Labor & Delivery RN

• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Indiana nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (16 LDR rooms)
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 12 Hour Nights; every 3rd weekend required
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Orientation: 2 twelve-hour labor shifts
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
• Pay Rate: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (labor and delivery nurse jobs)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or compact state
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Experience with EPIC Stork documentation, Centricity fetal monitoring, and Pyxis medication systems preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring patients, supporting both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse leads and fellow L&D RNs
• Utilize advanced monitoring and documentation systems to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, with occasional 1:2 assignments for early labor or induction
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical training to uphold high standards of care
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
