Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Athens, Tennessee (37303)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Weekly guarantee)
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend/as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Orientation: Bi-weekly, on Mondays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS (all current prior to start)
• Ability to work independently and confidently in a clinical setting
• Willingness to float to Postpartum unit as needed
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start
• Professional, team-oriented attitude
• Scrub color: Any (no camo; no logo shirts/sweatshirts except facility-issued)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using MedHost and Centricity Perinatal EHR systems
• Float to Postpartum unit as required
