Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience or relevant clinical specialty (preferred)
- Additional professional education, training, or specialty certifications may be required
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned ICU patients under physician direction
- Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to individualize patient care
- Direct nursing support staff in providing patient care according to hospital policies and nursing standards
- Demonstrate current methods and techniques in ICU nursing practice
- Float to various ICU units as needed to support patient care demands
