• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 – $2,890
• Location: Peoria, Illinois (61637) — travel nursing job in Peoria, IL
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour days with call requirements (OR call, weeknights and weekends as assigned)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Care Setting: Acute Care – General Surgery / Perioperative (Surgical RN / OR RN)
• Charting System: EPIC OP TIME (EPIC experience preferred)
• Scrubs: Hospital provided

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent perioperative or operating room nursing experience in general surgery, gynecology, urology, and ENT at a similar-sized facility
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or documentation that Illinois RN application has been initiated
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA required)
• EPIC OP TIME experience preferred for surgical documentation
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes as part of OR call rotation
• Must pass a negative drug screen for all panels (Drug-Free Campus policy)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon, appendectomy, cystoscopy, DaVinci robotic cases, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, and urology cases
• Provide perioperative nursing care as a Surgical RN/OR RN and collaborate closely with surgical technologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and charge nurses
• Participate in block scheduling and assigned call shifts (weeknight and weekend call as needed)
• Float to other surgery teams or Sterile Processing Department (SPD) when qualified and requested
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC OP TIME and adhere to hospital documentation standards
• Follow hospital policies including dress code, sleep policy after extended call, and unit-specific procedural protocols
• Attend required unit and hospital-wide orientation and competency validation sessions
