Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 – $2,690
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: Friday – Saturday, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am EST (Weekend Overnights)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On Call: 2–3 call shifts per month (holidays, callback as needed)
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center – Hospital radiology department

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Certified through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – CT
• Valid New York State CT Technologist license required (must obtain prior to start)
• Injection therapy certification listed on license (required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CT Technologist experience
• Prior Level 1 Trauma Center or high-acuity hospital CT experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry experience required
• Siemens CT scanner experience (minimum 6 months preferred)
• Epic EMR experience highly desired (experience with EPIC/PACS workflows)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; patient-focused and compassionate
• Team-oriented with the ability to maintain a cohesive working environment

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam orders prior to initiating CT scans, following department policies to ensure patient safety
• Coordinate with emergency and trauma physicians to provide timely diagnostic imaging for acute patients
• Prepare patients for CT exams, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and compliance
• Perform IV insertions and contrast administration per protocol (injection therapy certification required)
• Position and safely transfer patients, including those with limited mobility or trauma precautions
• Document imaging details, patient records, and protocol notes in EPIC; ensure images are sent to PACS correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment and adhere to infection control and radiation safety practices
• Participate in on-call rotations, callback, and holiday coverage as required by the travel contract
