Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse assignment)
• Location: Weston, FL 33331 (Weston, South Florida, Broward County nursing jobs)
• Setting: Short-Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility (transplant center)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (06:45 – 17:15), 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
• Start Date: 5/4/2026
• Charting: EPIC (electronic health record experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Job Requirements (Transplant OR RN / Travel Nurse)

• Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room RN experience with a strong transplant focus (liver, heart, lung, kidney) — must be documented on skills checklist
• Hands-on experience with organ implantation procedures (implantation experience required, not only procurement)
• Experience operating MISONIX/CUSA equipment required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any state; pending license accepted for travel assignment
• Certifications required at time of submission: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Nicotine-free policy: negative 10-panel + cotinine drug screen required
• Willingness to float within scope to other surgical cases as needed (perioperative flexibility)
• Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding and mandatory training modules prior to start
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Two references from direct supervisors or managers required

Responsibilities (Operating Room / Transplant RN)

• Serve as circulating and assisting RN in complex transplant surgeries including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants
• Actively participate in organ implantation procedures and perioperative care
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment such as MISONIX/CUSA
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary transplant teams in a teaching hospital environment (surgical team, anesthesiology, perfusion, transplant coordinators)
• Maintain strict infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols consistent with transplant standards
• Float to other surgical specialties and cases as required when not assigned to transplant cases
• Participate in clinical training, mentoring, and support for students and new staff (teaching hospital responsibilities)
• Complete accurate and timely documentation and charting in EPIC (electronic medical record)
